A 24-year-old K Rahman arrested by authorities in India after allegedly procuring $27,000 worth of ecstasy pills paying with Bitcoin. According to the Times of India, the pills sent from Frankfurt in July mentioning a false address. Rahman is from Kerala and the drugs purchased with the help of the dark web.

Rahman was supposed to receive the substance through the Foreign Post Office in Chamarajpet. The parcel containing 750 grey and brown pills was confirmed as ecstasy, also known as MDMA.

Narcotics Control Bureau confirmed the drugs after inspecting the package on the 31st of July. Amit Ghawate – Bureau’s Bangalore zonal director is the lead investigator tracking the receiver of drugs. It took 19 days of looking out to found Rahman.

Rahman has received the drugs a few times in the past at the city’s FPO and sold them to parties among youngsters and college students. The drugs purchased with the help of dark web and bitcoin. He is now held under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and now in judicial custody.
