The world’s number one cryptocurrency Bitcoin, reached $35,000 today. Bitcoin’s market capitalization reached $640 billion bringing the total value of the asset closer to the share prices of Alibaba and Tesla. 

At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s price is $34,568.20 with a 24-hour trading volume of $72,378,428,771. Bitcoin is up 10.45% in the last 24 hours. The asset’s price is up over 75% in the last month and more than 25% in the last week.   

Asset Dash, which provides insights and tracks stocks, ETFs, and Cryptocurrencies according to their market capitalization, listed Bitcoin (BTC) as the eighth-most-valuable asset in the world.

Apple (AAPL), with a market cap of $2.19 Trillion, lead as the number one asset in the world. Microsoft (MSFT), with a market cap of $1.62 Trillion, and Amazon (AMZN) with $1.59 Trillion hold second and third positions. Bitcoin’s price uptrend made the asset to secure the 8th position within the top 10 valuable global assets. 

With a price increase of 50% during last week, Ethereum made it to the 79th position with a market cap of $130 million. Bitcoin and Ethereum are not the only crypto assets to make it to the top listings. Cryptocurrencies like Tether (#475), Litecoin (#804), XRP (#812), Polkadot (#877), Cardano (#922), and Bitcoin Cash (#939).
